International accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO believe in creating an inclusive working environment where teamwork and relationships matter. They reached out to Ardmac to provide a state-of-the-art interior fit-out for their new office in Central Square, Leeds. They wanted a flexible, open work space with high-tech facilities, that would encourage a collaborative and productive working environment for their 150 staff.
From the outset, Ardmac held weekly meetings with the client and the mechanical and electrical sub-contractors. to resolve all technical issues while still meeting the client’s brief. Each weekly meeting set milestones for the contractors to achieve.
Having the client involved from a very early stage facilitated productive and positive working relationships on the project.
The floor above the work-site was occupied so we took precautions to minimise disruption to business. For example, we arranged to conduct certain noisy tasks in early morning or late evening time-slots.
The new premises provides a contemporary working environment with acoustic meeting rooms, a reception area with custom-made joinery, a contemporary canteen, mechanical and electrical upgrades, and high-quality finishes throughout.
