Ardmac were contracted to provide the architectural fit-out of a 17+ megawatt, hyper-scale data centre facility of 55,000 square metres for a client in Dublin.
The project was constructed across multiple phases on an ongoing basis. BIM was used during the design and construction phase to aid the coordination and construction processes, and interface with structural, mechanical, and electrical services throughout. BIM also effectively minimised waste from the project.
Our careful design and procurement of prefinished modular products that could be readily installed on site advanced the construction process and helped to deliver a complete scope of works on schedule. Our team’s attention to detail during the product selection process allowed the collation of data that assisted in LEED certification.
Works included the design, coordination, and construction of hot-aisle containment, raised access floors, internal partitioning systems, doors and ironmongery, suspended seismic and structural ceilings and bulkheads, fire-stopping packages, and a security package.
