Ardmac recently received 3 Order of Distinction Awards for the Dublin, Manchester and Craigavon offices, in the prestigious annual RoSPA (Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents) health and safety awards competition. This is Ardmac’s seventeenth consecutive Gold Medal and Order of Distinction in recognition of its outstanding health and safety performance.
The RoSPA Awards are for businesses and organisations which have shown commitment to accident and ill-health prevention. The Order of Distinction marks Ardmac’s continuing work on safeguarding staff and visitors, as well as its initiatives in promoting and raising awareness of safety in all areas of the business, including in-house safety training programmes and site workshops.
Diarmaid Magee, Director SHEQ at Ardmac, commented, “This fantastic achievement reflects the hard work and effort put in from all of our employees across the business in making Ardmac a safe place to work. These internationally recognised awards have become the most sought after accolade by organisations from every sector, offering organisations the opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising standards and to celebrate success. Achieving this level of award for 17 consecutive years shows our dedication and continued commitment to Ardmac’s Safety First programme.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Head of Awards and Events, said, “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat and congratulations to Ardmac for their 17th consecutive RoSPA recognition.”
