APC Chartership

What is APC?
The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) ensures that candidates are competent and meet the high standards of professionalism required to become a chartered surveyor.  These are a mix of technical and professional practice, interpersonal, business and management skills.

Our Process
Ardmac recognise the benefits to both yourself and the company in becoming chartered. You will have the support and guidance of our experienced external facilitator who will be assigned to you when you formally start the pathway. There will be a number of one-to-one check-ins scheduled between the external facilitator and yourself throughout the process, where they can share their knowledge and experience around the process and monitor your learning progress.

There are a number of steps you will need to consider with the assistance of our external facilitator:

Step 1: Identify Your Route – your route to Membership based on your qualification and your experience.

Step 2: Choose Your Pathway – you identify a sector pathway related to your experience.

Step 3: Check You’re On Track – you and the external facilitator review your decisions around steps 1 & 2 and help you prepare for the next steps.

Step 4: Apply and Enrol in the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) process and become a Trainee Member.

Who is it for?
The APC Chartership process is open to all Commercial or Pre-Contract professionals interested in obtaining their professional Chartership through the SCSI.  Depending on your experience level there are a number of different routes available to anybody interested in becoming chartered. A pre-requisite of the process is that your qualification must be recognised by the SCSI.

Application Process
Applications are accepted throughout the year.  Whether you have just graduated from college or are a seasoned professional interested in becoming chartered this learning path could be for you.

Our Chartership Pathway maps out a 12-36 month duration from enrolment in the APC process to registering and taking the Final Assessment, depending on what route you take.
