At Ardmac we put Safety First, for everyone around us, in everything we do and wherever we impact. We are all aware of the physical risks in construction, but what about the dangers we can’t see? Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Suicidal Thoughts are just as dangerous as the more tangible on-site threats. Over the past number of years there has been an increasing number of employees in the construction industry suffering from mental health issues.
That’s why this year, and for the last 4 years, Ardmac have chosen our charity partners with a focus on mental health support services; Pieta House provides a professional one-to-one therapeutic service to people who are in suicidal distress, those who engage in self-harm, and those bereaved by suicide. All services are provided free of charge, and no referral is needed.
Ardmac will match 100% of donations and ticket sales.
2022 Ambassadors
Meghann Scully
Meghann is a presenter and author, and this is her second year as an ambassador for Cycle for Hope.
“I’m delighted to team up with Ardmac again this year on the Cycle for Hope campaign. A great cause and a great event to get together for mental health.”
Hard Hats in Hard Chats podcast
Ardmac are delighted to welcome back Darragh and David from the Hard Hats in Hard Chats podcast. Darragh and David explain why supporting mental health charities is so important to them:
“Both of us have struggled with mental health in the past and it’s really important to us that everyone with mental health issues is looked after with the right facilities and care they need to help get themselves back on track.”
Danny Quigley
Sportsperson and mental health advocate Danny explains the importance of being involved with Cycle for Hope.
“A Cycle for Hope, for me is more than just getting on your bike to raise some money. It’s a message that hope and resilience are two key aspects of moving on through losing someone or something very meaningful. As we get together in a cycle for hope we are showing an understanding for one another and giving a clear message that it’s okay to continue to move forward and that doing that (moving forward) alone is something worth celebrating, recognising and getting together for. I’d like to remember and celebrate my father’s life through this initiative and I’m proud to be a part of it as an ambassador for cycle for hope.”
Marty Guilfoyle
We are proud to announce that Marty Guilfoyle is an ambassador for Cycle for Hope 2022.
DJ and radio presenter Marty notes why he got involved with Cycle for Hope 2022.
“It is vital to look after your mental health. Having a support system like Pieta House is incredible and it deserves all the funding it can get.”
