The Construction industry Federation (CIF) hosted their annual Construction safety week campaign from the 21st to 25th October 2019. Ardmac were once again proud supporters of this campaign in line with our own Safety First programme.
The week long campaign outlines daily focus areas in relation to safety on construction sites and Ardmac’s teams from across Europe got involved to support the campaign, in addition to Ardmac’s nominated charity Pieta House
Each year the CIF Safety and Health Sub Committee to the Executive Body identify five key topics, which are recommended to focus on during CIF Construction safety week. This year’s topics included:
- Mental Health and Wellbeing in Construction
- Working Safely with Electricity
- Working Safely at Height
- Vehicle Risk & Safety in Lifting Operations
- Working Safely with Hazardous Substances
