Ardmac are proud to have raised €68,500 for Pieta House from our second annual Cycle for Hope fundraiser.

Mental health is a cause that is close to everyone at Ardmac. Over the last number of years, there are an increasing number of employees within the construction industry, who are suffering from mental health issues. For this reason, Pieta House has been our chosen charity for over 5 years. We started Cycle for Hope as we wanted to do something tangible to support mental health, to raise awareness of the services available and raise money to fund these services. Cycle for Hope started in 2021 and saw €54,890 raised for Pieta. With Cycle for Hope 2022, Ardmac were delighted to increase the funds raised and help to fund Pieta’s lifesaving services.

Ronan Quinn, Chief Executive Officer at Ardmac spoke about Ardmac’s and Pieta’s partnership.

“Since 2018, Ardmac have raised over €165,000 for our appointed charity Pieta House through our SkyBlue programme. Our goal with this partnership is to assist Pieta in delivering their life-saving services and raise awareness around mental health. With mental health being a consistent issue within the construction industry, fundraising for Pieta is something constructive that we can do to protect those in our industry and beyond. Ardmacs SkyBlue programme enables our community to support nominated charities in awareness, fundraising and volunteering. It empowers our employees to give back to their local communities, and supports them in leading a positive and active lifestyle. We look forward to continuing our partnership and fundraising efforts for Pieta in 2023.”

Fionn spoke about the impact that these funds will have on Pieta

“Pieta is so thankful to have the wonderful support of Ardmac as their charity partner. Cycle for Hope will help the team at Pieta to sustain our free, lifesaving services and will help those in distress move to a place of hope and light during these most challenging times. This wonderful partnership is helping us continue providing our service which offers one to one counselling for people who are suicidal, people engaging in self-harming behaviours and people who are bereaved by suicide, and for this we are extremely grateful.”
