Ardmac were recently awarded the contract for a Cat A fit-out of the 85,000 sq ft, six-storey landmark 101 Barbirolli Square building in Manchester city centre.
Ardmac are excited to be involved in the re-generation of 101 Barbirolli Square, with Savills as Project Managers and 5 Plus Architects.
Named after the world famous conductor Sir John Barbirolli, Barbirolli Square is the beating heart of Manchester and an integral part of the Great Bridgewater Initiative. Since 1998 when this building was constructed by the award winning Architects RHWl, Barbirolli Square has housed iconic clients such as DLA Piper, Price Waterhouse Cooper and Ernest Young, to name a few. Its location boasts excellent transportation accessibility with the added benefit of both Deansgate and Oxford Road rail networks being on the doorstep.
The building was recently purchased by AEW, one of the world’s largest real estate asset managers with circa €50bn of assets under management. Their decision to purchase 101 Barbirolli Square was based on market growth and the feeling that Manchester is a dynamic fast flowing city that is attracting high end clients from London.
