Safety first and excellence as standard – It is an honour and confirms our efforts and approach in delivering high value workspaces and technical environments to receive this nationally and internationally recognised accolade again in 2020.

At Ardmac, our reputation is built on delivering results and exceeding client expectations. Since our inception in 1977, our professional ‘can do’ and ‘easy to do business with’ approach has grown our business to what it is today. We are now known as the leading provider of quality fit-outs, specialised refurbishments, high-tech cleanrooms, data centre solutions, and turn-key construction of manufacturing facilities across Europe.

An exceptional commitment to our customers and the success of their projects is the foundation of everything we do.

The success of our business is because of our people. We know that building better solutions with the challenges of today’s workspace environment starts with assembling a great team of people who embody our guiding principles.

Directly employing over 300 people today, we bring together the brightest talents who provide thought leadership, technical expertise and a positive attitude on every project. At Ardmac, we employ professionals across the full spectrum of disciplines throughout the construction industry. Our team consists of Management, Finance, HR, SHEQ, IT, Estimating, Contract & Project Managers, Site Managers, Site & Finishing Foremen, Engineering, and Quantity Surveying along with BIM Technicians.

Succession planning

Over the last year we have been investing heavily in the management and leadership training of our staff. This has enabled us to get to where we are today and in the last 12 months we have made a number of key promotions, including the promotion of a Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from within the organisation.

Ardmac SMART

We have developed an approach to our projects called ‘SMART’, adding value to clients through the use of Lean, BIM and other digital technologies in order to streamline workflows and improve productivity on the projects in which we work. This huge investment has seen significant growth in our BIM and IT Departments and it has enabled us to grow our offering to our clients through innovative digital solutions.

The Ardmac SMART approach to building combines the 3 pillars of Last Planner, our collaboration and field management platform and BIM. Implementing these tools and processes has resulted in the improved success on all of our projects including the ones highlighted within this submission.

SMART has enabled us to improve collaboration and information flow from both within our company and across client teams. This has been even more evident in recent months when the COVID-19 global pandemic started to affect the productivity on sites across the globe.

Our clients can view our project performance in real-time, without even visiting the site.

In the past 12 months we have completed 66 projects across Ireland, UK and Europe, with 85% of these for repeat global clients. We have also developed new relationships which have included Ellucian, Genesis Aviation, Whitney Moore (IPUT), National Transport Agency and DCC plc.

We are delighted to receive the Fit Out Contractor of the year Award 2020. Receiving it this year is probably more meaningful than ever. It is rewarding our investments and the hard work of all teams and shows us that we are able to adapt and succeed even at times when the working environment and conditions are more challenging than ever.
