Following on from the successful Phase 1 Cat A fit-out of 101 Barbirolli Square on behalf of AEW Europe & Savills, Ardmac are delighted to announce they have been awarded the contract to deliver the Cat B fit-out of three floors on behalf of new tenants, Handelsbanken.

The Stockholm-headquartered bank, which has 208 British branches, will be moving into the first, second and third floors of the six-storey building as part of the company’s plan to create a UK subsidiary, investing in further UK infrastructure and systems.

The building was bought by real estate investment manager AEW from Aberdeen Asset Management in 2015 for around £32m.

Ardmac are currently working collaboratively with Project Managers, Appleyard & Trew, Architect, So Vibrant, Services Consultants QED and the Client themselves on the design development for their new office space with work expected to commence in June 2018.

Andrew Winstanley, MD Ardmac outlined “101 Barbirolli Square has been a landmark project for Ardmac in Manchester and we are delighted to be given the opportunity to deliver another high quality project within the building, for Handelsbanken.”
